E-commerce Website

I designed the first ever e-commerce website for Kidizen to accompany their existing and continuously evolving app.

MY Role

Ideation, User Research, UX/UI Design

Problem Statement

Kidizen needed to create a user friendly e-commerce web experience to accommodate for web-centered users, who did not wish to fully invest in downloading the app. As an app-first marketplace, they needed a complete web interface designed with their users interests in mind, carrying the appeal of the app over to this web platform.

Project Goals

1. E-Commerce Website

The primary goal of this exercise was to construct a complete e-commerce experience, from browsing and carting to purchasing and tracking orders.

2. Shop Management Tools

Kidizen utilizes both buyer and seller sides of the shopping experience, so it was important to incorporate shop management tools for seller and buyer communication and order management.

3. Personalized Entry

Personalization is key for e-commerce economies, as well as resale. Kidizen needed to develop personalized entrance points for guests and returning users to further enhance their shopping experiences.

Multi-Platform Consistency

Along with the final e-commerce designs, I produced a Sketch library documenting all elements used on web and in-app to keep the designs as consistent and reusable as possible. This was extremely important as Kidizen continually builds out features on multiple platforms.
